How to Set Up Your First Digital Loyalty Card

Setting up your first Cync loyalty card doesn't require any hardware, a POS integration, or technical experience. This guide walks through the whole process from creating your account to having a card customers can join at the counter.

   Create your business account

   Head to the Cync business dashboard and register with your business email. You'll be asked for your business name, type, and location. This is what customers see when they discover you in the app's map view, so use the name your customers actually know you by.

   Design your loyalty card

   Upload your logo and pick your brand colours. The card preview updates live, so you can see exactly what your customers will see in their app. The goal is that the card looks like it belongs to your business, not to a generic loyalty platform.

   Set your reward threshold

   Decide how many stamps a customer needs before they earn a reward, and what that reward is. A good starting point for a cafe is a free coffee after 9 or 10 visits: frequent enough to feel achievable, but spaced enough to be sustainable. You can adjust this later without resetting existing customer progress.

   Activate your Cync Stand

   Your plan includes a physical Cync Stand for the counter. Place it somewhere customers can reach while they're paying. Next to the card reader is usually ideal. This is what customers interact with to collect a stamp.

   Do a test run yourself

   Download the Cync app on your own phone, find your business, and join your own program. Collect a stamp to confirm the full loop works end to end. This takes two minutes and catches anything that looks off before a real customer sees it.

   Tell your regulars

   Your existing regulars are the fastest path to adoption. Mention it at the counter for the first week. Most businesses find that the customers who join in the first few days are the ones who were already coming in most often, which is exactly who you want in the program.
